"PAVNEXT" won the 1st place in the contest BIG Smart Cities 2017

"PAVNEX"T won the 1st place in the contest BIG Smart Cities 2017. The prize was 10,000.00€.

By winning this national entrepreneurship competition, Francisco Duarte received a 10,000 euros prize, a work space and a 6-month acceleration period, a trip to Ericsson's innovation center in Europe and access to the experimental city of Cascais to test the pilot of the technological solution he developed in the scope of his nearly finished doctoral thesis.

Francisco Duarte is finishing his PhD Thesis with the title “Pavement Energy Harvesting System to Convert Vehicles Kinetic Energy into Electrical Energy", with the supervision of Professor Adelino Ferreira.
